Barrels and Verticals 2018
If only homes could smile! Our Bed & Barrel at Stonehouse Cellars home is beaming with pride and all the warm fuzzies after Saturday’s Barrels and Verticals event. Thank you to all of you who came and braved the howling wind to come taste our wine and laugh by the fire.
Daniel was in his element in the cellar, showing you how the wines change from year to year and with different oak. We still can’t figure out how he stands in that cool cellar all day in a short-sleeved shirt. We tease him that he’s hot blooded and his grin just gets wider.
Upstairs, Greg and Jake poured vertical tastings of the 13, 14, and 15 Coyote’s Reserve Cabernet. You could taste the differences but struggled to pick a favorite. (Us too!)
The unexpected show-stealers were the crocheted wine glass necklaces made by Jake’s mom, Debbie Bridges. The perfect accessory for hand-talkers and folks who like food in both their hands. We see you trying to hold snacks, emphasize your point, snuggle your loved ones, and hold that amazing glass of wine. Debbie’s got your back.
Thank you to the Lake County Winery Association for putting on this event! All participants took home a wine glass and some great memories of Lake County’s world-class yet unassuming wines. If you are interested in the LCWA’s next event, Lake County Wine Adventures on May 19-20, learn more here: http://www.lakecountywineries.org/adventure. Hundreds of people already have their tickets so don’t miss out!
